Well, there goes another year of waiting, and the start of a new year of waiting for the next Kansas LAN! We had some power issues, but then again a LAN isn't a LAN without one, good thing we changed venues or it'd of been worse! We have a poll up for you to vote on (on the right) Autonomous LAN Party (ALP), we'd like to heard your feedback on that. Feel free to comment on this news post, or create a forum topic.

Currently the LAN is underway, we've got 26 singed in with more expected to show up tomorrow. We've still got people showing up even to this point. Lots of CS:S is going on, the console gamers have been constant in their endeavors to play single player games. The caffeine log is INSANE right now, let me show you an ALP screenshot:

I'm pleased to announce that we will be using ALP at our lan this year. For those who do not know what alp is, it stands for Autonomous LAN Party. We will be using this program to coordinate tournaments and other activities that will be held at the lan. Everyone will be registered on the server as they arrive. I've decided to drop Wolf2 for lack of support from every community, even European ones (hands to cheeks in shock). We had so much fun last year with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that I think we'll do that again this year in place of Wolf2. If enough people have Modern Warfare 2 we can play that.

The admin staff had a meeting tonight, and we discussed that the venue may possibly change as the sign ups are getting to the area where the current venue may not be able to supply adequate power for the LAN. We all hate dreaded power failures! Be sure to check the site often for updates in case the venue does change!
